Frisco Roughriders Frisco Sport reviews
Dr. Pepper Ballpark
With the demise of the Fort Worth Cats, and the fun to be had seeing the Grand Prairie Air Hogs, we thought we'd go to our first Rough Riders game. We went specifically for one of the promo nights and really enjoyed the game. Beautiful stadium with a newly opened lazy river in right field (you need special tickets), plenty of food stands, great team store and friendly staff. I love the feel of the park - unlike any other I've been to - like you're on the coast in the northeast with gravel walking paths and suites that are located in little "beach houses". Seats behind the visitor dugout were easy to get and a great price. We were row 6 (second row of section) right behind the extended netting that covers the entire dugout. The only bad thing about the view was when the team would stand on the top step against the railing, sometimes blocking views of the batter.
Fun and family friendly night
I am not a huge baseball fan mainly because of the amount of time the games take. This game renewed my interest though. The Rough Riders game was so much fun and there was always something going on to keep you entertained. Lots of freebies, which is great when you bring kids along, and everyone was super friendly. I was skeptical when friends told me there are no bad seats, but believe it! We were on the second row back next to the visitor dugout and had an awesome view of the game. As soon as we got into the car after the game I started looking at season ticket pricing. It's a bit of a drive for me (almost 3 hours) but I think it would be well worth it.
